Gavin’s lifelong passion for advertising began when dinosaurs roamed the earth, studying graphic design at Pretoria Technikon, and then joining Grey Worldwide in 1998 after graduating with several final year awards.
As a member of the Creative team at Grey Healthcare, Gavin met and worked with Di Wilson for a number of years, beginning a partnership that saw them develop numerous winning pitches and campaigns- and eventually resulted in Gavin leaving Grey to help her found POD Communications.
As the Creative Lead, Gavin was responsible for aligning strategies with effective and innovative creative ideas – a role that he continues to this day as Creative Director at Integer SA.
Gavin firmly believes in a hands-on approach to design and conceptualisation, overseeing every aspect of work in the Integer SA studio from ideation to execution – and the key to that Creative Knockout Punch is always the same: a great idea, executed by a great team focused on delivering great work, that works – and the product of this ethos is made visible through several shelves loaded with industry awards.
